So Much to Write, So Little Time.

So many things buzzing around in my head right now that I want to write yet don’t know where to even begin and then when I do I want to make sure it is focused and not scatter brain and full of rabbit trails as my writing often is.
As I stated at the beginning of this blog on am on a journey of discovery and purpose and have an insatiable appetite for knowledge and understanding.  Since my early to mid-thirties I have had this strong sense that there is a book contained somewhere within me waiting to be birthed. The title came instantly, the rest, not so much. The title is simple; “Are We Intelligent?” In many ways we absolutely are, yet, in so many other ways we display anything but intelligence as I would define it.
While I patiently wait for the birth of the book I simply continue to search and write bits and pieces or what I call Thoughts and Reflections, hence the birth of this Blog.
 The Bible in my opinion, if properly interpreted, has much to say about, life, life principals or a way of living and how our world operates in both the visible and invisible realm.  The physical and spiritual. And Jesus, among others great Biblical teachers, had lot to teach in this regard through parables, metaphor, analogy, proverbs, foreshadowing etc. Sadly, as in Jesus’ day, a segment of society has taken these great teachings and created a religion out of them. In Jesus day there were two main religious sects called Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s and for brevity sake I will not go into detail in this post other than to say Jesus had a lot to say about these religious leaders with very little of it good . For reference one could take the time to read Matthew 23 and The Seven Woes to the Scribes and Pharisee’s. Here is just a taste;
23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat, so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others.
Can anyone relate to this in some of today’s predominate religions?
I don’t doubt for one minute that most if not all religious teachers, preachers and leaders are absolutely sincere in what they are teaching, but, they could also be sincerely wrong. It is our individual responsibly as it was for the Bereans in Acts 17:11 to search the scriptures daily and test and approve that these things be so. It is that very act that has gotten me in trouble I suppose as I have plenty of concern with much that is taught as truth. Paul also said in Romans 12 that we are not to conform to the patterns of the world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Many though are content to conform to the ways of the world, including myself in many cases even though I may not want to. Conditioning and habits are hard vises to break.
And so once again, down rabbit trails I go as my mind wanders to and fro. But, back to topic at hand and as I was saying about Jesus’ teaching.
Using examples of how things operate in the physical realm he would show us how things work in the spiritual. That said though, there are many other great teachers and mystics that have taught very profound and deep truths about our reality as well and so I will never limit myself in this regard.
Science, especially on the quantum level, is bearing much of these truths out today. There is so much more available to us, so much more potential, so much more to this life than the mundane and vain life that many of us settle for.
It is my hope that through sharing what I have discovered in these posts that it might inspire others to seek and search, to dig deeper and become all that you can be and tap into all that is available to you.
There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever in my mind that we are the creators of our own reality and have the power and ability to create whatever reality we desire. And it all starts with our thoughts and what we believe about, not only ourselves, but our connection to those around us, our material world and our perception of reality. As science has shown there is a whole other world beyond our limited five physical senses. According to the latest science ninety six percent of the Universe is invisible with only four percent visible, consisting of what scientist term Dark Matter and Dark Energy and they have yet to understand what it consists of.
Jesus said in Mark 9:23; “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”  And Proverbs 23:7 states; “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” And, out the abundance of the heart, Jesus said, the mouth speaketh.
What you love you empower
and what you fear you empower -
and what you empower you attract.

If we understood the power of our thoughts,
we would guard them more closely.
If we understood the awesome power of our words,
we would prefer silence to almost anything negative.
In our thoughts and words we create
our own weaknesses and our own strengths.
Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts.
We can always replace negative with positive.

Keep your thoughts positive,
because your thoughts become your words.
Keep your words positive,
because your words become your behaviours.
Keep your behaviours positive,
because your behaviours become your habits.
Keep your habits positive,
because your habits become your values.
Keep your values positive,
because your values become your destiny.
